When You Hit Rock Bottom | Chase Gardner [Saying No To God]

God will often allow us to hit rock bottom because he cares more about changing our heart than our circumstances, but this temporary suffering is always worth it.

Message Notes:

Jonah 1:17 (ESV) Jonah is swallowed by a great fish and stays there for three days and three nights.

There are three principles of how reconciling with God will play out in your life.

1. You can turn back to God at any point.

Jonah 2:1-2 (ESV)

2. God will forgive your sin, but He won’t always remove the consequences.

Jonah 2:3-4 (ESV)

3. God wants to change your heart more than He wants to change your circumstances.

Jonah 2:5-6 (ESV)

Jonah 2:6-7 (ESV)

Jonah 2:8 (ESV)

When you say yes to God, you are about to enter into a season of refining, which can be a slow process to change your heart.

Jonah 2:8 (ESV)

Jonah 2:9 (ESV)

Jonah 2:10-3:3 (ESV)
