What Shapes Your Worth?

Worship is simply a statement of the things you assign value to. It’s more than a song. It’s more than one day a week. Worship is a lifestyle. It’s a choice that we make, every day of the week—at home, at work, and in the moments when we’re alone. Worshiping God is a response to His unending promise. It’s an outward expression of praise to the One who gave us everything we have. In this three-week series we’ll explore what it means to live a life of worship.

Week Three – What Shapes Your Worth?

Speaker: Léonce Crump (Senior Pastor of Renovation Church)

Psalm 100

If our sense of worth is shaped more by culture than by Christ, our worship will reflect this.

  • Worship is about God, but it's more about you than Him.
  • How we worship reveals what shapes our worth.

Worship impacts our way of life.

Romans 12:1

When we gather together, we invite God’s presence.

  • God visits His children wherever they are.
  • Based on history, we see that He has no preference for style of worship, language, altitude, pattern, building material, or physical location.

Worship precedes

  • We should live every day with our worth shaped by God.
  • Worship begins privately and overflows publicly.

Cultivation of worship vs. consumption of worship

If God is not shaping your worth, what is?

Next step—prioritize worship in every aspect of your life:

  1. Start your day singing to the Lord.
  2. Engage God throughout the day—ask Him for guidance.
  3. Sing passionately and loudly in gathered worship.

The way we will accomplish our mission is to be passionate lovers and worshipers of God.
