Glorious isn’t a word we use too often—it’s reserved for things that are special and powerful. In week three of the series, guest teacher Ben Foote explains how truly believing God is glorious has the power to conquer all fear in our lives.

Message Notes:
What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us. – A. W. Tozer

Glorious is a word that feels powerful, like it should be reserved for special occasions.

Saying GOD is glorious means we’re attributing something special and powerful to God.

God is full of His own glory. God is glorious. God is GOD.

The idea of truly grasping the glory of God is described as the “Fear of God.”

“TREMBLING TRUST” = When you trust God because you’re trembling in AWE at His power and glory.

Exodus 3:11-15 (ESV)

God responds by calling Himself by a name that translates:I am who I am. Thename “LORD” translates as HE IS WHO HE IS.

When we say“LORD,”we’reagreeing with God’s description of Himself. We are saying, HE IS. He truly IS who He says He is. And He will absolutely DO what He says He’ll do. He is who He is. God is God.

Exodus 4:13 (ESV)

Fear #1: I’m not enough.
God says, I AM enough.

Fear #2: God’s not enough.
God says, I AM WHO I AM. I am… glorious. I am ALWAYS filled to the brim with my power and beauty. I am enough. And so, I WILL do what I’ve said I’ll do. And I WILL do it through you.

Exodus 14:13-14 (ESV)
Exodus 14:41 (ESV)
Show up and ask God to glorify Himself.

Who is going to conquer our fears? God says, I AM.
When others ask us: Who is going to conquer your fears? We say THE LORD YAHWEH. HE IS.

Do not be afraid. The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still. Only to show up and ask the Great I AM to glorify Himself.
